Route

My eastbound route will start in Tucson, Arizona USA. From there I’ll head east to Indianapolis to visit with a friend, then western Maryland to visit my mom and nephews, and finally end up in Montreal, Canada where the bike and I will transit the Atlantic ocean aboard an Airbus A330-300. I chose Motorcycle Express as my shipper for this leg.

Next stop: Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. Once reunited with the moto, I’ll head to Switzerland to visit a friend, then follow a south-southeast heading toward Turkey, then Iraqi Kurdistan. I have arranged a guided tour for Iran (required for American, British and Canadian visitors) , after which I’ll cross into Pakistan, ending up in Lahore. Where I’ll park the bike for the month of August.

After a rest period and a visit to Guatemala for a friend’s wedding, I’ll have some quality time with my girlfriend and likely visit my mom and nephews again.

September, I’m back in Pakistan. from there, there are a few options.:

A. Enter India, then Nepal, finally transiting China with an organized tour (required for bringing your own vehicle into the country)

B. Transit Afghanistan to enter Tajikistan & Kyrgyzstan

C. Directly enter China from Pakistan

All of the above options end in Laos, from where I’ll visit Cambodia and finally Thailand. From there (likely Bangkok) I’ll fly myself and the bike to Los Angeles, and from there, a quick ride home. Whew!
